Kevin W. "Around The World" Burker, 38, of Mentor, passed away Aug. 12, 2015, after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. 
He was born June 30, 1977, in Mayfield Heights.
Kevin was a super-hero in disguise to his sons; called by his wife "The Great And Mighty VOR" (Voice-Of-Reason); a purveyor of laughter; a natural mimic; a gifted drummer and guitar player; a video game-playing tennis-and-fishing enthusiast; a seeker of the perfect cup of home-made coffee; Grill-Master, and a semi-reluctant geocacher. He was a kind and gentle man that loved greatly, selflessly, and generously. If Kevin teased you mercilessly, it meant you were one of his favorites. When he wasn't busy being all the above-mentioned wonders, Kevin also spent time as a computer hardware technician at Akzo Nobel.
He is survived by his wife, Jamie; children, Maxx and Quinn; parents, Thomas and Linda Burker, Sr.; brother, Thomas (Chrissy) Burker, Jr.; mother-in-law, Dianna (Dr. Sid Savitt) Austin; father-in-law, James (Carole) Horvath–Stange; maternal grandmother, Joanne Kuehne; and paternal grandparents, Harry and Catherine Burker. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, a nephew and other family members. 
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Walter Kuehne.
The family will receive friends for a celebration of Kevin's life from 3 to 8 p.m., Monday, at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. 
In lieu of flowers and in memory of Kevin, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 10501 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44106.
